Friday was a terrible long day. Peru wanted to eat at 3:00 a.m. (totally normal) but then decided that it was a good time to stay up and play. By lunchtime, I was beat and someone was a big grump. An executive decision was made to go to the park. It turns out Magnuson Park, just a couple miles from our house, has the most LOVELY community gardens. There's an amphitheatre, a Children's Garden, and bunches of P-Patch plots with an amazing array of flowers and vegetables, birds and such. Little P finally snoozed as we strolled around the trails. After parking it in the garden, I put my feet up for a well-deserved break. When she awoke, there were smiles again!! Thank heaven.
Note to self: When things get tough at home, go outside!
